Nationally Recognized: The Wilson Family Farm. Homesteaded in 1837.

In the winter of 2009, the Advertising Agency for John Deere contacted the farm saying that the Theme of the 2010 National Calendar for Deere would be Historic Farms of the United States that use primarily John Deere Equipment.

Deere was interested in featuring the Wilson Family Farm partly because the farm was Homesteaded the same year, 1837, the John Deere Corporation was founded and because the farm uses large Deere Equipment.

In July the head photographer for Deere spent a day at the farm photographing the buildings, equipment and equipment working in the field. The farm appeared on the May page of the 2010 Calendar.
